Breaking: Silas Young Re-Signs Three-Year Deal with Ring of Honor

“The Last Real Man in Professional Wrestling” has now declared where he will be wrestling for the foreseeable future!

We can now confirm that Silas Young, a two-time Ring of Honor World Television Champion, has indeed re-signed with his home promotion, inking a three-year deal that will see Young’s services exclusive under the Ring of Honor umbrella. This news comes amid discussion that Young’s contract to ROH was set to expire at the end of 2018. Young was also recently spotted at front-row during the November 26th episode of WWE’s Monday Night RAW with his son, fuelling rumors that he would be signing with the promotion once his contract expires and following the footsteps of former ROH wrestlers Punishment Martinez and Donovan Dijak.

However, Young went on to note that his son was a big fan of WWE, explaining their presence at the show and that he was never present behind-the-scenes.

Silas Young, who declares himself as “The Last Real Man in Professional Wrestling” is one of the toughest competitors produced by Ring of Honor, often known for both his hard-hitting brawling and his technical finesse in the ring. Young has documented that his “Last Real Man” gimmick was inspired by his father’s work ethic and physical appearance and both are shown in full display whenever he steps foot in the ring. Fans of his work will recall his notable feuds with ROH fan-favorite Dalton Castlecurrent Ring of Honor World Champion Jay Lethal, and his most recent battle with Punishment Martinez in ROH’s State of the Art in Dallas, which saw him lose the Ring of Honor Television Championship in that match.

As of now, Young’s next scheduled ROH match has been confirmed for the promotion’s Final Battle event. However, his opponent has not been confirmed at this time. What do you think of this latest development in Silas Young’s career? Who do you think is next on the list of opponents for “The Last Real Man in Professional Wrestling”?
