Ohio State DE Nick Bosa underwent surgery Thursday for a “core muscle injury” he suffered in Saturday’s 40-28 win over TCU.
Bosa, brother of Chargers DE Joey Bosa, leads Ohio State in sacks (4.0), tackles (14), and forced a fumble that resulted in a defensive touchdown.
Coach Urban Meyer stated Thursday morning that there is no timetable for Bosa’s return, and at this time it is unclear how this will affect Bosa’s draft stock going into the 2019 NFL Draft.
Ohio State faces Tulane this Saturday in Columbus, where the Buckeyes will attempt to extend their winning streak without arguably their best player.
EDIT: Nick Bosa is expected to miss at least 6 weeks following his surgery.
