Kevin Harvick has signed an extension to race with Stewart-Haas Racing. The contract extension, confirmed to the media on Saturday at Daytona International Speedway, extends his stay with the team through the 2023 Cup Series season. His previous contract was set to expire at the end of the 2021 season.
The 44 year old Harvick has spent the last six years with Stewart-Haas Racing after spending the first stint in the series with Richard Childress Racing. Harvick claimed the 2014 Series Championship after winning five times during the first season of the current playoff format. The pairing of Harvick and crew chief Rodney Childers has resulted in 26 wins over six years.
