Just one day after archrival Leo Messi scored a brilliant hat-trick vs. PSV, Cristiano Ronaldo was unceremoniously sent off the pitch after receiving a shocking straight red card in the 29th minute vs. Valencia.
Not only is he now out of the rest of the match against Valencia, but he will now be banned from traveling to Old Trafford when Juventus takes on Manchester United in October. Talk about the robbery of the young Champions League season.
What was perhaps most embarrassing about this whole situation was CR7’s reaction. He started to cry and carry on like a 5th grader before throwing a full-on tantrum after leaving the pitch. It was so inappropriate that Caillou would probably look at him while shaking his head.
Because of his post-red card antics, there are reports that the Portuguese superhero will be banned for two games, instead of one.
All of a sudden, Juventus’s Champions League prospects have become needlessly more complicated.
