Per Ken Rosenthal, the MLB Players Association has announced they won’t be signing off on the league’s revenue plan because it compares to salary cap. This means they are not willing to accept the league’s proposal to return to play.
This announcement comes hours after the MLB owners gave the okay to the league to make a proposal to the player’s union concerning a July start date.
In this proposal the teams would be beginning around the 4th of July in empty stadiums.
The biggest debate in the return to play will be the money. Owners and players are going to have to figure out how to come to terms considering the teams are worried of revenue loss and the players want their normal salaries.
More information will be posted as it becomes available.
