Columbus Blue Jackets forward Brandon Dubinsky “most likely” won’t play NHL hockey ever again due to a chronic wrist injury, per Jackets GM Jarmo Kekalainen.
The 34 year old hasn’t played since last year’s playoffs and has one year remaining on a contract worth 5.85 Million annually.
The forward started his career with the New York Rangers before heading to Columbus as part of the Rick Nash deal.
It is unfortunate how it looks like it will end for Dubinsky, but the 34-year-old can look back and be proud of an 823-game career. He is currently sixth all-time in Blue Jackets scoring, and had 438 points overall.
