The Baltimore Ravens opened up mini-camp and most everyone showed up ready to go. Everyone except DT Michael Pierce that is. Pierce apparently forgot about his conditioning this offseason.
When he showed up well over last years weight for 360 pounds, coach John Harbaugh pulled the plug on him being on the field for his own safety. This all transpired a little into the stretching portion of practice.
Essentially what that means is that he didn’t even really start practice before he got sent home.
He is set to make $3.095 million dollars in non-guaranteed money this season. Look for the 26 year old to he cut if he can’t get his weight back under control. He would be a free agent after this season.
