Are Jets the Team No One Wants to Play?

Are Jets the Team No One Wants to Play?

The Winnipeg Jets are having their best season since bringing hockey back to the city of Winnipeg. With 102 points, the Jets currently sit second in the Central Division behind league leader Nashville.

With Patrick Laine in the race for the Rocket Richard Trophy, Blake Wheeler in the discussion for the Hart Memorial Trophy, and goalie Connor Hellebuyck in the discussion for the Vezina Trophy, the Jets have placed themselves in a position where no one will want to play them come playoffs.

Add to the list Paul Stastny being acquired at the trade deadline, the Jets have one of the deepest rosters in the league.

Winnipeg also has the best home record of 29-7-2; that is a huge factor come playoffs especially since the Jets are third in the Western Conference.

It appears that a second round matchup between Nashville and Winnipeg is inevitable, this will be an incredibly entertaining series.

With seven games remaining in their season, their next being tonight at home against Boston at 8:00 PM ET, the Jets will have another test to see how they shape up against other Stanley Cup contenders.
