Since Full Gear in November of last year, All Elite Wrestling has made a lot of noise from signing Sting and Paul Wright, to having a new World Champion in Kenny Omega and most importantly starting a working relationship with other wrestling companies. With that said, on Sunday Night, AEW presents the first Pay Per View of 2021 titled Revolution. Let’s take a look to see who we think will come out in top in their respective matches!
Riho and Thunder Rosa vs. Dr. Britt Baker and Rebel
Before the AEW Women’s Tournament Dr. Britt Baker and Thunder Rosa have been feuding against one another. With Rebel by Dr. Britt Baker’s side, Riho has returned to even up the odds for Thunder Rosa. With this being a pre-show match, AEW will want to get the fans happy heading into the main show so Thunder Rosa and Riho are picking up the win here.
Prediction: Riho and Thunder Rosa
Miro and Kip Sabian vs. Orange Cassidy and Chuck Taylor
Over the past few months, the Best Friends have had a problem with Miro and Kip Sabian. This has lead to Miro and Sabian injuring Trent and keeping him on the shelf for several months. With both teams having bad blood with each other, this should be a decent match. Orange Cassidy and Chuck Taylor would benefit from a win here more than Miro and Kip Sabian.
Prediction: Orange Cassidy and Chuck Taylor
Matt Jackson and Nick Jackson (c) vs. Chris Jericho and MJF For the AEW World Tag Team Championship
Since becoming the Number 1 Contenders in a Battle Royale, MJF and Chris Jericho have been trying to get under Matt and Nick Jackson’s skin. This lead to Jericho and MJF attacking their father backstage while Matt and Nick were in the ring. Even though Jericho and MJF would make entertaining tag team champions, now is not the right time to end The Young Buck’s title reign.
Prediction: Matt Jackson and Nick Jackson
Brian Cage and Ricky Starks vs. Darby Allin and Sting In A Street Fight
Since winning the TNT Championship from Cody Rhodes last year, All Elite Wrestling has been building up Darby Allin aligning him with Sting. Although Brian Cage and Ricky Starks have been impressive since joining Team Tazz, all signs point to AEW having Sting win his first match since 2015 and Allin looking stronger in the process.
Prediction: Darby Allin and Sting
Hikaru Shida (c) vs. Ryo Mizunami For The AEW Women’s Championship
Over the past several weeks, AEW has been putting on a tournament to determine who will challenge Hikaru Shida for the AEW Women’s Championship at Revolution. On Wednesday, Ryo Mizunami defeated Nyla Rose in the finals to become the number 1 contender to the AEW Women’s Championship. With how impressive Hikaru Shida has been, it’s going to be hard to see AEW giving the title to Mizunami, and it will surely be a hard-hitting match.
Prediction: Hikaru Shida
Adam Page vs. Matt Hardy
Over the past several months, Adam Page has become a fan favorite in All Elite Wrestling. Despite declining an offer to join The Dark Order, Page has a lot of momentum on his side heading to his match against Matt Hardy. With the popularity that Page has and momentum on his side, it’s hard to think that he won’t win this match.
Prediction: Adam Page
Casino Tag Team Royale Winner Get AEW Tag Team Championship Match.
With The Young Bucks defending the AEW Tag Team Championships against MJF and Chris Jericho at Revolution, AEW is going to determine a new number 1 contender for the Tag Team Title in a Battle Royale. With 15 teams confirmed to enter it will sure be chaotic. Over the past several months, John Silver has been getting over with the crowd especially on Being The Elite. With that said, AEW needs to pull the trigger on his popularity and the best way to do that is to have Alex Reynolds and John Silver win the Battle Royale.
Prediction: Alex Reynolds and John Silver
Cody Rhodes vs. Scorpio Sky vs. Penta El Zero Miedo vs. Lance Archer vs. Max Caster vs. TBA Ladder Match Winner Gets TNT Championship Match
With Darby Allin in a tag match at Revolution, All Elite Wrestling needs to determine the next challenger for the TNT Championship and they are doing it in a Six Person Ladder Match. Although there is one more person to be announced, this has all the makings of an entertaining match. Over the past few weeks, Max Caster has gained a lot of momentum picking up wins on Dynamite. AEW needs to capitalize on that and what better way to capitalize on it than having Caster become Number 1 Contender to the TNT Championship.
Prediction: Max Caster
Kenny Omega (c) vs. Jon Moxley Exploding Barbed Wire Deathmatch For The AEW World Championship
Since winning the AEW World Championship at Winter Is Coming in December, Kenny Omega has quite honestly been the biggest thing in AEW. He has dominated as champion defending his title against Rey Fenix, and Joey Janella. Even though Omega is AEW World Champion, he has also shown up on Impact Wrestling allying with Karl Anderson, Luke Gallows, and Don Callas. With how much momentum Omega has, AEW is not going to have him lose the belt right now.
Prediction: Kenny Omega
