Adrian Peterson Still Has Gas Left In The Tank

Adrian Peterson Still Has Gas Left In The Tank

Whoever told you that Running Backs we’re down and out by thirty two at the latest lied to you. Thirty-three year old Adrian Peterson showed that fact off last night in his preseason debut with the Washington Redskins.

Peterson was signed earlier this week after injuries to rookie RB Derrius Guice and RB Chris Thompson. Both men were set to carry the team workload this season.

Last night the Redskins lost to the Broncos in week three of the preseason but Peterson shined through. Everything from 15 yard runs to a 3rd and inches that he blew through the line and picked up the first down for.

This is the Adrian Peterson we expected to see when he came back from injury. This is the Adrian Peterson that started to shine through with Arizona last year before getting injured.

Peterson finished the game with 11 carries for 56 yards. That’s a 5.1 yards per carry average. It may only be the preseason, but things look good for Peterson to grab a key role in this Redskins offense this season.
