Andujar Amazes in Two HR Game

Miguel Andujar is making a strong case to be the Yankees starting third baseman this upcoming season.

Andujar is known for his ability at the plate, with .315 Average and 16 home runs this past season in AA, and 82 RBI across 125 games in 2017. However, Andujar still seems to lack the footwork on the defensive side of the ball.

Going into Spring Training it appeared as though the Yankees had their third base position set, as the team traded away two top prospects to the Diamondbacks for Brandon Drury, who the team has had on their radar for years.

The 6-foot 2-inch, 25-year-old batted .267 with 13 home runs and 63 RBI’s in his 2017 campaign over 135 games.

Andujar so far this spring has 4 home runs and 5 RBI in just 14 At-Bats, two of which came today off Nick Pivetta and Pedro Beato of the Phillies in the first pitch of each at-bat.

While Drury may have been a coveted player, it does seem as though Andujar is working his way into the roster as the Baby Bombers continue to terrorize the American League.
