With just a few days before the start of the 2020-21 NHL Season on January 13th, the league has hit a road bump. On Friday, the NHL announced that six Dallas Stars players and two staff members have tested positive for COVID-19 and the team won’t be starting the season until January 19. According to Elliotte Friedman, the plan for the NHL is to reschedule all of the games on Dallas’s schedule before January 19.
This comes after the Columbus Blue Jackets holding out several players out of their scheduled practice on Friday for precautionary reasons. Neither the NHL nor Columbus has announced that anyone has tested positive for COVID-19.
