Since the 2019-20 NBA season ended, there’s been a lot of talk surrounding the Phoenix Suns looking to improve at point guard and being interested in trading for Chris Paul from the Oklahoma City Thunder. After weeks of talks and reports, the deal is finally complete. On Monday, Oklahoma City traded Chris Paul and Abdel Nader to the Phoenix Suns for Kelly Oubre, Ricky Rubio, Ty Jerome, Jalen Lecque and a 2022 first-round pick. Paul is currently under contract until the end of the 2021-22 season, and is making more than $40 million a season.

In 70 games last season, Chris Paul averaged 17.8 points, 5.0 rebounds, 6.7 assist and 1.6 steals. During his 7 appearances in the playoffs, Paul averaged 21.3 points 7.4 rebounds, 5.3 assist, and 1.6 steals.
