The New York Mets and Marcus Stroman will see each other again in 2021. Stroman, who opted out of the 2020 season due to Covid-19 concerns confirmed in a statement on twitter this morning stating that he was accepting the $18.9 million qualifying offer from the Mets. The offer is a one year deal.
The Mets acquired Stroman in a trade with the Blue Jays back at the 2019 trade deadline. In the rest of that season he started 11 games and went 4-2 with a 3.77 era.
