Going into the game sunday, sophomore quarterback Kyler Murray knew he had to perform after coming off his worst performance of the season. Murray threw for 3 interceptions in the Cardinal’s week three loss against the Detroit Lions.
Panthers starting quarterback Teddy Bridgewater had other plans for the game as his team was quick to dominate from the beginning. In the first quarter we saw scores from Mike Davis who was filling in for the injured Christian McCaffrey and a rushing touchdown from Bridgewater who showed he was also another quarterback capable of scrambling with the football.
The Panthers did not let the foot off the gas in the 2nd half as they continued to score as they pleased and smothered the Cardinals on the defensive side of the ball as they also forced to Kyler Murray to fumble the ball on a sack in the 3rd quarter.
The Panthers went on to win 31-21 and improved to 2-2, meanwhile the Cardinals fell to 2-2. From the beginning of the game the Panthers were in full control, while the Cardinals struggled offensively and being unable to stop the Panthers on the defensive side of the ball. It will be interesting how the Cardinals recoup and find ways to win in arguably the best division in football.
