The Stanley Cup Finals are going to a Game Six!Thanks to Dallas pulling off the third period comeback to force not only overtime, but double overtime to win Game Five.

Once again when most people counted Dallas out and had them ready to go home, the Stars once again proved them wrong.

Corey Perry got the scoring started 17:52 into the first period with a goal assisted by Tyler Seguin, and Oleksiak.

Tampa Bay’s Palat would notch the game even 1-1 just 4:37 into the second period, the game would stay even for the remainder of the period even though the Lightning outshot Dallas 13-6 just in the second period alone.

Just 3:38 into the third Mikhail Sergachev would give Tampa Bay a 2-1 lead with a goal assisted by Brayden Point.

Veteran Joe Pavelski would even the game with less than seven minutes remaining in regulation; this was also his 61st career playoff goal which sets the record for most playoff goals scored by an American born player.

After staying alive in the first overtime, Corey Perry tallied another goal in double overtime to give the Stars the Game Five win, and force Game Six Monday night at 8:00 ET.

It is worth noting that Tyler Seguin recorded an assist on each of Dallas’ goals; Seguin now has five assists in the Stanley Cup Finals after being held pointless for the first three games of the series.

In net Andrei Vasilevskiy had yet another solid performance with a save percentage of .909, however Dallas’ Anton Khudobin was just a level above Vasilevskiy stopping 39 of 41 shots for a .951 save percentage.

As stated above Game Six is set for tomorrow night at 8:00 ET. A few things to look at through five games thus far is that Dallas has 96 giveaways compared to Tampa Bay’s 78, Tampa Bay has outhit Dallas 282-260, and although both teams have each had sixteen power play opportunities, the Lightning have tallied six power goals to Dallas’ one.
