Ryan Fitzpatrick finished tonight’s game completing 18 of 20 passes, for 160 Yards and 2 passing touchdowns while also rushing for a score giving the Dolphins their 1st win of the season.  Most importantly “Fitzmagic” (while not fully silencing) he was able to put a pause or at least turn the volume down on all the “Start Tua” conversation.  Overall, the Dolphins played almost a perfect game, which we can call “Fitzmagical.”

Fitzpatrick was able to spread the ball around his receivers and even caught one of his own passes after it was deflected.  The Dolphins backfield rushed for a total of 138 yards led Myles Gaskin, while Devante Parker led the team in receiving yards with 69 out of 160 total. The Dolphins offense had 0 turnovers, while defensively causing Gardner Minshew to fumble and throw an interception.

The Dolphins took the early lead and just controlled the game from then on.  The Jags attempt at a comeback after a rushing touchdown by James Robinson was short lived.  The touchdown was followed up by a missed field goal.  Even after this, there was still hope after the defense did their job and made the Dolphins punt.  Sadly, all hope was truly gone after Minshew was sacked by Kyle Van Noy for a turnover on downs.

For the Jags, if you haven’t heard about James Robinson, the un-drafted rookie, who has fully and entirely taking over for backfield for Leonard Fournette, OH BOY ARE YOU MISSING OUT!! Unless you were playing him on fantasy football than I am sure you know now.  Better yet, if you drafted and started Robinson, then you are doing great, as Robinson was the bright spot for the Jags scoring two touchdowns, gaining 46 yards on 11 carries and 6 caught passes for 83 yards.

“Fitzmagic” could do no wrong under the Thursday Night Football lights vs the Jags, as we congratulate the Dolphins on their first win of the season.  And lastly, it looks like Dolphins will have to wait a bit longer to see Tua on the field.

Random stat: Mike Gesicki, TE, has caught touchdowns in consecutive games, leads the Dolphins in receiving touchdowns.
