In the First Round of the 2020 NFL Draft, The Los Angeles Chargers drafted Justin Herbert out of Oregon as their franchise quarterback. Even though Herbert will not be starting week 1, the team locked up a huge target for Herbert once he steps on the field. On Saturday, according to Ian Rapoport, the team agreed to terms with Keenan Allen to a 4-year contract extension worth more than $80 Million with $50 million in guaranteed money. This extension makes Allen the 2nd highest paid Wide Receiver in the NFL with Julio Jones taking the top spot earning $22 Million a year. Allen was on the final year of his contract.
