The almost new look Cincinnati Bengals have locked up a key piece of their offense for another foreseeable future. Running Back Joe Mixon will be in town for the next four years. The price tag on him will be $48 million.

The 24 year old product out of Oklahoma already has two 1,000 plus yard seasons under his belt. He really started lighting the league on fire in the last four games of 2019 where he had over 130 yards on the ground in three out of the four games.

Mixon potentially has the most reliable Quarterback he’s had in the NFL with 1st overall pick Joe Burrow. He may be asked to run the ball a little less as Joe Burrow learns the offense more throughout the season.

Overall this is a good team friendly deal that puts Mixon at an average annual salary of $12 million. That makes him the fifth highest paid player at his position. There are some big name RB’s up for a pay increase very soon (Dalvin Cook and Nick Chubb) that will make this deal look very good in the long term.
