Just fifteen laps into Sunday’s Brickyard 400 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, a pit road incident involving multiple cars resulted in numerous drivers exiting the race early. The resulting stack up spun the car of Brennan Poole into the No. 12 of Ryan Blaney, which pinned Blaney’s tire changer Zach Price against the No. 12. Because of the incident, the race was red flagged while the medical crew attended to Price.

During the red flag, Price gave a thumbs up while being loaded into the ambulance. After receiving treatment at the infield care center, Price was transported to Methodist Hospital for further evaluation. Late Sunday evening, Penske Racing released a statement:

“Zach Price, rear tire changer for the No. 12 Menards/Atlas Ford Mustang, was treated and released from Methodist Hospital. He will travel back to North Carolina with the team for further evaluation.”
