It was another exciting week in Houston, as the Roughnecks won their second game against the St. Louis Battlehawks 28-24. The Roughnecks were the first to score with a field goal on their first possession. By halftime, the score was 21-12 and the Roughnecks were dominating with 3 touchdowns and a timely interception by Cody Brown.

The third quarter started differently. The Roughnecks defense spent 11 minutes straight on the field as they tried to compete with the adjustments the Battlehawks made at halftime. St. Louis quickly brought the score to 21-18. Just as the momentum was turning for the Roughnecks, Jeremiah Johnson made a stellar interception and ran 64 yards down the field within the 6 yard line, which led to another score for Houston. St. Louis ended the game with one more touchdown, bringing the final score to 28-24 Houston.

Cam Phillips played exceptionally well with 3 touchdown receptions. Pj Walker now leads the league with 7 touchdowns in his past two games. This week the Houston Roughnecks will play their first away game against the Tampa Bay Vipers.
