Kobe Bryant is reported to have passed away in a helicopter crash just outside of LA. There were no survivors. The incident occurred just one day after LeBron James passed him in the NBA All-Time scoring list.

The crash was first reported by TMZ and later confirmed by multiple sources. Bryant was just 41 and is survived by his wife, Vanessa, and three daughters. Later reports confirmed that one of his daughters, Gianna, was also on the helicopter at the time of the crash.

Kobe Bryant, was a 5-time NBA champion and spent all 20 years of his career with the Los Angeles Lakers. He is considered one of the best players to ever grace the court and was a shoo-in as a first ballot Hall of Famer as soon as he reached eligibility. He is the only player to have two numbers retired with one franchise: 8 and 24.
