It’s Friday which means it’s time for another edition of ECHL Weekly. This week we have a new team of the week and #1 in our power rankings. The South Carolina Stingrays point streak was broken, the Wheeling Nailers and Florida Everblades both gave up 8 goals against their opponents, Toledo Walleye (Wheeling) and Brampton Beast (Florida), and the Allen Americans are leading the league in points, but have 5 games in hand. Also if you missed my midseason predictions I chose the Idaho Steelheads to hoist the Kelly Cup.

Team of the Week

This week’s team of the week is the Newfoundland Growlers who are on a 6 game winning streak. If they can stay healthy and Toronto doesn’t have any injury issues forcing them to call-up players then the Growlers will have another Kelly Cup run. Their only weakness at the moment is the PK.

Josh Kestner, Toledo (4GP 4G 3 A 7 pts)
Brady Shaw, Fort Wayne (2 GP 3G 3A 6pts)
