New Jersey Devils’ Goalie Cory Schneider has been placed on waivers and will move down to Binghamton, New Jersey’s AHL affiliate.
Schneider was expected to have a bounce back season after missing much of last year’s due to numerous injuries and sub-par play.
This season Schneider has already had a few hiccups health wise, and in just six games started has recorded a 4.59 goals against average, and a save percentage of .852. Neither of these are acceptable for a starting goalie in the NHL.
On top of this the Devils have also recalled Louis Domingue from Binghamton.
New Jersey is set to take on the Boston Bruins tomorrow at 7:00 PM ET in a big test for the struggling Devils.
