Randy Orton often likes to keep his fans, and the wrestling industry at large, on their toes. As stated above, the ring veteran has signed a 5-year contract with the WWE, meaning he would not be up for a new contract until November of 2024, at which point he will be hitting the youthful age of 44.

WWE announced the contract extension on their social media channels and website. On screen COO Triple H made comments regarding the contract signing on WWE Backstage on FS1:

I’m glad to put the rumors to rest. For almost two decades, Randy Orton has been a cornerstone of WWE…and Randy Orton will remain a cornerstone of WWE for a long time!

– Triple H

While most would think it would be time for the 3rd generation superstar to hang-up the boots, Orton has shown little to no signs of slowing down. While he has moved away from being consistently showcased in the main event, the Randy Orton brand hasn’t faded under any circumstances.

Regardless of who Orton is in the ring with, he can always be called upon to put on a great match, and help carry a compelling story. Whether it was his career defining feud with The Undertaker, or his most recent spat with then WWE Champion Kofi Kingston, Orton always delivers. His presence alone adds legitimacy to any match card.

Bleacher Report

Orton is a grand-slam champion, which includes his 13 reigns as WWE World Champion. He is also a 2x Royal Rumble winner, a former Mr. Money in the Bank, and has main evented WrestleMania twice.

His name by itself can sell a pay-per-view, he physically looks to be in the best shape of his life, he’s a guaranteed Hall of Famer, and his signature RKO has become one of the most famous wrestling maneuvers in history. Truly, there seems to be no stopping The Viper any time soon.
