Tomorrow is the trade deadline in the NFL, and two teams have wasted no time preparing one. Running Back Kenyan Drake has been traded from the Miami Dolphins to the Arizona Cardinals. Arizona, who has been searching to find a suitable replacement for David Johnson, may have found their guy. They will be sending a 2020 6th-Round Draft pick to Miami. However, if Kenyan performs well enough, the draft pick would be changed to a 2020 5th-Round draft pick.
Arizona and Miami are both teams on a rebuild. With this trade, it appears Arizona is looking to improve their backfield to assist Kyler Murray. Miami, meanwhile, is looking to add more draft picks. Kenyan, who has never put up more than 644 Rushing yards or 4 Rushing TD’s in a season, is looking for a fresh start with the Cardinals. Though he has big shoes to fill with David Johnson still being absent, this could work in both parties favors.
