The No. 18 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota, which took the checkered flag first Saturday at Darlington Raceway in the Sport Clips Haircuts VFW 200 NASCAR Xfinity series race, failed post-race Nascar inspection.
NASCAR disallowed the No. 18 car, which was driven by Denny Hamlin, after a pair of height requirement violations. The car was deemed to be too low in the left front and too high in the right rear. The process of disqualifying a car after post-race inspection was created at the beginning of the season. This disqualification is the first of its kind in the NASCAR Xfinity Series.
The win was awarded to second place finisher Cole Custer.
