It’s risky to play your starters in the pre-season. Anything can happen at any time. That was the case today for the Detroit Lions. WR Jermaine Kearse has suffered a broken leg according to NFL Networks Ian Rapoport.
The injury happened early in the first quarter against the New England Patriots. Kearse was blocking when his leg got caught up after Patriots defender Ty Johnson missed a tackle. A rough start to the Detroit season.
Kearse signed a one year deal this offseason with the Lions worth $1.35 million dollars. He was looking to bounce back from last years performance.
