Boston Celtics Sign Jonathan Gibson

Jonathan Gibson is back in Boston. Gibson played four games in the 2017-2018 season for Boston when they had several players out with injuries. He was not playoff eligible because he was signed under the Hardship Exception, at the time. The Celtics passed on offering Gibson a position the next season, so he had been playing in the Chinese Basketball Association for Qingdao. There, he averaged 33.1 points, 6.1 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game.

The Celtics are sitting at 4th seed in the Eastern Conference. Tonight, they will play their last regular season game against the Washington Wizards at 6 pm Central on TNT. It is expected that Gibson will join Gordon Hayward, Kryie Irving and Al Horford on the court tonight. The Celtics have been heating up lately, breaking a three game win streak Sunday in a loss to Orlando Magic.
