With less than a month left in the NHL Regular Season, things are certainly starting to get interesting.

In Vegas, recently acquired Mark Stone from Ottawa has officially signed an eight year contract extension worth $76 million total, with an average annual gross salary of $9.5 million.

Vegas is currently on a five game winning streak, which could heavily be the result of Stone’s addition to the roster at the trade deadline.

Stone has 28 goals, and 36 assists on the season, including a plus-minus of plus-17.

In Colorado, Gabriel Landeskog has suffered an upper body injury and will miss 4-6 weeks.

The incident occurred when Landeskog collided with Dallas’ Ben Bishop in the third period of the team’s 4-0 loss to the Stars.

The Forward has 33 goals, and 36 assists on the season, both career highs, and currently is second on the team in goals behind Nathan MacKinnon.

The Avalanche will host the Buffalo Sabres tomorrow afternoon at 3:00 PM ET.

In Calgary, the Flames are now on a four game losing streak after losing to the Arizona Coyotes 2-0 last night.

The Flames still however hold the first seed in the Western Conference, but within the Pacific Division with both Vegas and San Jose playing well, Calgary can not afford to continue to skid into the playoffs.

The other three losses include a 2-1 loss to Vegas, a 6-2 home loss to Toronto, and a 4-2 home loss to the Minnesota Wild; all teams that currently hold a playoff spot.

Calgary by far has the ability to snap this losing streak and finish the season strong.

They will look to do just that Sunday as they host the Vegas Golden Knights at 9:30 PM ET.
