The Philadelphia 76ers went all in to acquire forward Tobias Harris from the Los Angeles Clippers.
Brett Brown has constantly said the phrase “Trust The Process” with the arrival of young stars and the 76ers are looking to compete with the elite teams of the NBA. Brown’s team will also be welcoming Boban Marjanovic and Mike Scott to the team.
On the other side of the trade, The Clippers outlook is on the future for the franchise. Doc Rivers squad was able to acquire Landry Shamet, Wilson Chandler, Mike Muscala, and four first round picks over the next 3 years.
What does this mean for a up and coming team? With the addition of Harris, Jimmy Butler will feel less pressure. The 76ers will have a dominate starting lineup: Ben Simmons, JJ Redick, jimmy Butler, Tobias Harris, and Joel Embiid. For opposing teams, this starting 5 could be a nightmare.
Harris has played well so far this season averaging 20.9 points and 7.9 rebounds a game. The 76ers hope he will continue to bring his talents to their organization.
Both teams are playoff contenders this season. The 76ers are 34-20 (5th in East) and the Clippers are 30-25 (8th in West). There is an exciting future for both franchises.
