One of the most respected players of the past two decades announced Friday that he is retiring after 17 seasons. Many would consider Julius Peppers a first ballot Hall of Famer.
The beloved Carolina Panther has earned respect throughout his career. Over 17 years, Peppers totaled 159 sacks and only Reggie White, Bruce Smith, and Kevin Greene recorded more in their careers.
Peppers was always looked at as a leader with the teams he played on. The star also played for the Chicago Bears and Green Bay Packers before ending his career in Carolina.
The time has come where we say farewell to one of the greats. Pepper’s contribution to the game will never be forgotten by fans and teammates. Some may refer to him as “The Perfect Role Model” for the positive efforts he made in and outside of football.
