Lakers Guard Rajon Rondo Out At Least 4 Weeks After Surgery on finger

On Friday, Rajon Rondo underwent surgery to repair a ligament on his finger. Sources state Rondo will be out for at least a month alongside star LeBron James.

The Los Angeles Lakers had a slow start to the 2018 season but were eventually able to glue together. Sitting at the 5th seed in the Western Conference with a record of 20-15, the Lakers are an above average team. Now, they lack two key players on their roster.

Lonzo Ball will remain the starting point guard. The rookie has struggled this season averaging 9.2 points and 4.9 assists per game. Ball prides himself on his defensive presence, so it will take time for his offensive skills to develop.

The Lakers have struggled over the recent years, however they stand at a good place for the beginning of the season. Once the injury report clears up, the franchise could once again be championship caliber with their young talent.
