Monday, December 10th, 2018. This is a day for fans of the Miami Heat, Cleveland Cavaliers, Los Angeles Lakers, the NBA, and its fans. It’s also a day of remembrance, sadness, and most of all, gratitude. Tonight, two of the all time greatest players in NBA history will square off one last time, as the Lakers will host the Miami Heat.
If you have not been paying attention to the NBA, due mostly in part to the peak of the NFL regular season, let me tell you why this game is important: Dwayne Wade is in the final year of his NBA career, and this is his swan song. For the final time, a 3 time champion and former finals MVP, will play the greatest player in the world; coincidently, also his former teammate.
The greatness of D-Wade, Flash or any of his other monikers, can’t be forgotten. Who can forget the insane ’03 draft class featuring LBJ, Chris Bosh, Dwayne Wade, and Carmelo Anthony? That draft class literally changed the NBA forever. Without him, do super teams ever form? Do the Spurs get six, seven, or even more rings?

I can go on all day singing the praises of one of the all-time greats at his position, however, I will not do so in this article any further, as in my honest opinion the list will be incomplete without this all important matchup tonight.
