The Boston Celtics made history against the Chicago Bulls on Saturday. The biggest win margin in the franchise’s history resulted in a 56-point victory.
With the absence of veteran Al Horford, the Celtics had several players in double digits. Jaylen Brown came off the bench with 23 points shooting 8-11 from the field. The rising star was astounding last night along with Daniel Theis who had a career high 22 points. The three point guards Kyrie Irving, Marcus Smart, and Terry Rozier combined for a total of 34 points.
Brad Stevens team is now on a five game win streak. Coming into this season, the Celtics were expected to be a threat in the Eastern Conference. Now at 15-10, the team is starting to regain their confidence. All-star Gordon Hayward is starting to become more comfortable on the court again after a gruesome season-ending injury last year.
It is still early in the season to make predictions, but the Celtics are starting to gel together. The next three games are against the Pelicans, Wizards, and Hawks. Steven’s squad will look to continue their win streak.
