With their playoff hopes basically eliminated, and the season winding down, the Buffalo Bill’s have decided to make some cuts before the end of the season. Sources are confirming that they have released wide receivers Kelvin Benjamin and Andre Holmes.
Kelvin Benjamin was traded to the Bills during the offseason, and the Bills gave up 3rd and 7th round picks to the Carolina Panthers for him in hopes that he would emerge as their number one receiver. Benjamin has amassed 571 yards this season, while Holmes only garnered 157 yards for the 2018 season.
The Buffalo Bills are, once again, one of the NFL’s more disappointing teams. The drafting of Josh Allen has indeed been an improvement, but injuries to Allen have kept the Bills on an inconsistent playing field.
While the Bills defense has been formidable this season due to players like Tre’Davious White, the lack of consistency on offense has kept them from moving up in the AFC East.
This move is a clear indication that the Bills are attempting to lose baggage, and quickly too. So, while some teams are gearing up for the playoffs, it seems the Bills already have the offseason on their mind.
