This is exceptionally notable as, throughout his entire 26-year career, Jun Akiyama has never wrestled in the United States, notching a historic milestone to his storied career.

Jun Akiyama is a legendary wrestler based in Izumi, Osaka, Japan. He is also the current President, Representative Director and co-head Creative Writer of All Japan Pro Wrestling, of which he was a former two-time Triple Crown Champion. Akiyama is renowned for his serious style of wrestling, as well as his tag-team wrestling expertise. Many wrestling fans will also recognize that Akiyama is the innovator of the Blue Thunder Driver, a move popularly used today by WWE Superstar, Sami Zayn, as well as the Exploder Suplex (and its variations), which many superstars, such as Tazz, Shelton Benjamin and WWE Smackdown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch, have utilized in their repertoire.
