The XFL is trying to make a comeback, and has set their sights on the year 2020. This time, they are starting off with the city that misses their NFL team, St. Louis.

Tuesday evening, KSDK Channel 5 reported that St. Louis will have an XFL team starting with the 2020 season, and will play at the Dome at America’s Center (formerly Edward-Jones Dome), which is the old home for the St. Louis Rams. With concerns over the visual appearance of the dome, the fans are still excited that football will be making its way back to St. Louis.

XFL Owner Vince McMahon is trying to get this going one more time, and he is doing it with the help of Oliver Luck. The XFL has announced that they will have an 8 team league with 10 games in the season.

Bringing St. Louis into the mix, could bring the attention and the fan base the XFL will need to survive. Time will only tell if the XFL will be successful, but taking it to St. Louis could be the step they needed to propel this league to becoming a well attended professional football league.
