Arguably one of the most influential and talented third basemen of all-time has decided to retire from baseball. Not only did Adrian Beltre have to achieve greatness throughout his 21 year career, but his unique style and perseverance drew peoples attention.
Beltre brought his talents to 4 different teams during his career. The third basemen spent 8 years with the Texas Rangers, 7 years with the Los Angeles Dodgers, 5 years with the Seattle Mariners, and 1 year with the Boston Red Sox. Beltre was beloved by the MLB fanbase and teammates. Adrian Beltre was not only a great player, but he served as a leader and mentor to his teammates.
Looking at Beltre’s statistics and accomplishments over 21 years is proof why he ranks at the top for third basemen. Beltre put together an amazing career with a total of 477 home runs and 3,166 hits. Beltre is also a 5 time Gold Glove winner and a 4 Time All-Star.
Major League Baseball will mourn Beltre’s retirement, but his contribution to baseball will never be forgotten. With a lock into the Hall of Fame, we can remember the amazing man Beltre was on and off the field.
