The Honey Badger’s contract has been up in the air as of late, with everyone wildly speculating about what team he might end up with in 2019. There were all kinds of theories, from Facebook polls to interviews with the man himself, asking where he would race in 2019.Well, now we have our answer. Ricciardo has officially signed a two year contract with the Renault F1 Team. Following Red Bull’s switch from Renault power units proving hideously unreliable in only a few races (and a profanity-laced rant via radio from his teammate Max Verstappen) Ricciardo seems to be jumping ship. Now, the only question is who will replace him at Red Bull and run second to the Flying Dutchman. Some speculate it will be current Renault driver, Carlos Sainz Jr. A simple driver swap would appear to be the most likely outcome, since its official that Ricciardo will partner with Nico Hulkenberg. What do you think of The Honey Badger’s new home team? Where would you rather see him? Do you think he’ll be successful at Renault?
