The Los Angeles Chargers can’t seem to catch a break. Cornerback Jason Verrett has reportedly torn his achilles tendon during a conditioning test. Verrett has been injury plagued for most of his career, only playing in five games in the last two seasons.

The injury casts doubt on the 2018 Chargers season, who already lost tight end Hunter Henry for the year. Without Verrett, the Chargers will have to man the secondary with Casey Hayward, Desmond King, Trevor Williams, Adrian Phillips, and rookie Derwin James.
