Kyle Busch and Kyle Larson had the duel of the year for the win at Chicagoland Speedway with Busch taking the victory after a battle on the last lap.
In the closing laps Larson closed to the rear of Busch’s Toyota Camry with the help of lap traffic and using the high side of the track to gain the most momentum. With both taking the white flag with feet between each other, Larson dove to the bottom of the track in turn one to make his move and slid up the track into Busch coming off of turn two.
Larson made contact with Busch’s left rear, putting Busch into the wall. Larson would complete the pass going down the back straight into turn three, but Busch would gain quickly and tap Larson, sending him spinning.
Busch would come home in first place with significant damage to the left side of his car. Kevin Harvick finished second while Kyle Larson was able to save his car from damage and claim third place. Martin Truex Jr. would finish in fourth, while Clint Bowyer claimed the fifth place position.
