Alvaro Parente and Michael Christensen both have claimed victories in race one and two, respectively, this weekend at Road America in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin.
In race one, the No. 31 TR3 Racing Ferrari of Daniel Mancinelli would start from the pole with Parente’s No. 9 Bentley Continental GT3 starting on the second row. By the end of the first lap, Parente took the lead and would not relinquish it for the duration of the race winning in dominant fashion.
The No. 61 R. Ferri Motorsport Ferrari 488 GT3 of Toni Vilander would finish second while the points leading No. 96 PFAFF Motorsports Porsche 911 GT3R of Scott Hargrove would finish third. Mancinelli would finish fourth after starting from the pole position.
The GTA class win was captured by Martin Fuentes, driving his No. 07 Squadra Corse Garage Italia Ferrari 488 GT3, narrowly edging out the No. 19 TruSpeed AutoSport Audi R8 LMS of Parker Chase.
In race two Alvaro Parente would start from the pole due to his fast lap from the previous day. That would be all for not, as the No. 24 Alegra Motorsports Porsche 911 GT3 R of Michael Christensen would take the lead during the first lap and just like Parente did the day before, cruise to victory.
Parente would go on to finish second, capping off a stellar points weekend for the Bentley Continental GT3 driver after struggling in the early rounds of the season. Daniel Mancinelli completed the podium in third in his No. 31 TR3 Racing Ferrari 488 GT3, followed by Scott Hargrove in the No. 96 Pfaff Motorsports Porsche 911 GT3R.
The GTA class win went to Parker Chase in his No. 19 TruSpeed AutoSport Audi R8 LMS, who beat the winner from the previous day Martin Fuentes to the line.
