Even though Kyle Busch and Kevin Harvick have been dominant this season, the white checkered flag is up for grabs this weekend at SONOMA. Not only is SONOMA unpredictable, it has produced a different winner in each of the last 9 races.

While Harvick may be the favorite going into this race, history shows that it’s very unlikely that he visits victory lane. The last time somebody won back-to-back at SONOMA was when Jeff Gordon won 3 in a row between 1998 and 2000.

This fan favorite track may be hard to predict, but one thing is for sure. This is going to be a hard fought race and it’s going to come down to the last lap.

Denny Hamlin has had some crazy finishes here, but has failed to win in 12 career starts. I think that ends this weekend. He has finished 2nd and 4th in the last 2 races at this road track and is just itching for a win. This will not come easy, but I believe that Hamlin has the skill and the determination to come out on top Sunday afternoon.
