Gian Villante vs Sam Alvey:
There is no way this fight goes the distance. Both men come forward and fight. Sam Alvey actually called Gian our after his last win, and got his wish. To me, Gian has more experience in a brawl scenario for that reason he’s my pick. In an exciting two round war I pick Gian Villante by TKO.
Julio Arce vs Daniel Teymur:
Daniel Teymur is the brother of David Teymur, whom also fights on this card. The Teymur style is very fan friendly in the way they love to brawl. That’s how I see this going, Daniel Teymur by decision in an epic performance by the young man.
Jake Ellenberger vs Ben Saunders:
This will be Jake’s first fight in over a year, he has lost 7 of his last 9. Ben Saunders on the other hand has won 5 of his last 8. This is Ben Saunders’ fight to lose. His size and reach will be a problem. When that happens I expect Jake to wrestle. When Ellenberger tries that, Ben will submit him late in the first round.
Walt Harris vs Daniel Spitz:
As much as I like Walt Harris, this fight just isn’t his. Spitz is younger, faster, and has taken less damage in his career. I expect this fight to be fast paced for as long as it lasts. Wit that, I pick Daniel Spitz by 2nd round KO.
Gregor Gillespie vs Vinc Pichel:
These men are a combined 8-0 in the UFC right now, 4 wins each. Two different styles here; Gregor is a dominate wrestler, whereas Pichel prefers to stand and strike. Unfortunately for Pichel, he has to lose this fight. There isn’t a way I can see him avoiding the Gillespie takedown for 15 minutes. Gregor will take him down and dominate him in a “Khabib-esque” style. Gregor Gillespie by ground and pound TKO in the 3rd round.
Jimmie Rivera vs Marlon Moraes:
This fight is one of the best of the year. Jimmie Rivera has won 20 fights in a row, including 5 in a row in the UFC. Marlon Moraes is 15-1 in his last sixteen. The lone loss coming against Rafael Assunção, in a split decision a lot of people thought Moraes won. I’ve been a Marlon fan since he was the bantamweight champion in WSOF. Out of these two men, I would have to say Marlon is the better overall fighter. Jimmie Rivera’s style is very wrestling heavy. I see Rivera looking for the takedown early and often. I think Marlon takes the Anthony Pettis approach in his fight against Gilbert Melendez, and looks to sprawl and brawl. Official pick is Marlon Moraes by 4th round TKO, ending Jimmie’s legendary winning streak.
