Things just seem to be getting worse for Rhys Hoskins. Over his last 10 games, Hoskins has only 5 hits in 36 at bats (averaging out to be just .139 over his last 10). Monday night against the Dodgers, Hoskins was up to bat against Kenley Jansen with a chance to tie the game. Quickly falling behind in the count, Hoskins fouled an inside pitch off of his bat, and it hit him in the face. Neither the Dodgers nor Hoskins were aware of his injury. A CT scan Wednesday revealed that he fractured his jaw when he was hit in the face. Likely headed to the 10 Day DL, he should be re-evaluated before the Phillies begin a three game series against the Rockies.
