Lou Lamoriello was named President of Hockey Operations for the New York Islanders.

Lamoriello won three Stanley Cups with the New Jersey Devils where he was also President of Hockey Operations.

He served as GM to the Toronto Maple Leafs the past three years where he was able to get the Leafs back to the Playoffs two seasons in a row for the first time since 2002-03, and 2003-04.

Lamoriello will join his son Chris with the Islanders, who served as Assistant General Manager last season.
