Vicente Luque vs Chad Laprise

Chad Laprise has looked much better since moving up to 170lbs, rather than he did at 155lbs. I don’t think he has what it takes to stop Vicente. Vicente is too skilled in all areas. My boy Luque gets it done by second round submission.

Diego Rivas vs Gudio Cannetti

I think this fight may well be the most entertaining of the night. Both men have high finishing rates. My gut is telling me to pick Rivas, he is younger, has less MMA miles and to me has the better skill. Diego Rivas by 3rd round submission after an awesome back and forth fight.

Veronica Macedo vs Andrea Lee

This fight is going to be exciting as well. Two up and coming young women throwing down in the octagon. I’m pretty stoked to watch these ladies. Andrea Lee has 4 wins in a row coming into this. Macedo is coming off a loss, to me that makes her the favorite. Macedo will be more desperate for a win. Veronica gets it done by decision in an exciting 3 round fight.

Jared Cannonier vs Dominick Reyes

Dominick Reyes is 8-0, with only one win coming by decision. Cannonier is 1-2 in his last three fights. This doesn’t follow the same logic as the women’s fight. Cannonier has blaring weaknesses when it comes to grappling. I see Reyes exposing those once again, getting the win by first round TKO via ground and pound.

Alexa Grasso vs Tatiana Suarez

This fight serves as the first of the night between two ranked fighters. Suarez is currently ranked #12 and Grasso is ranked #9 in the women’s Strawweight division. I personally love Alexa Grasso, she is gorgeous and loves to stand and trade. Suarez will have a huge advantage when it comes to the ground game. Her Jiu-Jitsu is world class. Grasso will has a bright future in MMA. Unfortunately for her this is Tatiana’s fight, she is more well rounded in the area’s Grasso isn’t. My pick is Suarez by 2nd round submission, sadly.

Demian Maia vs Kamaru Usman

This fight could be very dangerous for Usman. Who should he the favorite here. Maia’s Jiu-Jitsu is insanely technical. He is a 5-time Jiu-Jitsu world champion. At 40+ years old I don’t see Demian winning. I think Usman will try to keep this standing as long as he can. If maia can get him to the ground, I don’t see him holding Usman down. When Kamaru gets Maia down, he has the strength to hold him there. Official pick is Kamaru Usman by 2nd round TKO.
