Nick Kingham made his rookie debut Sunday afternoon for the Pittsburgh Pirates where he dominated, keeping the St. Louis Cardinals silenced through six and two-third innings. He accumulated 9 strikeouts and kept his pitch count at 92, until Paul DeJong hit a grounder down the third base line.

The Pirates went on to win the game 5-0 giving the rookie his first MLB win.

The twenty-six year old becomes the 14th pitcher this season to carry a no-hitter, or perfect game, into the seventh inning.

Kingham had his family in attendance for the outing, and while he may have been called up, he made the most out of his opportunity. This will not be the last we hear from the young hurler this season.
