The Winnipeg Jets’ Defenseman Josh Morrissey will not play in Game 5 against the Minnesota Wild.

Morrissey’s vicious cross check to Minnesota’s Eric Staal’s face in Game 4 last night resulted in the Defenseman receiving a 1 game suspension from the NHL.

This is the third player to be suspended in this year’s playoffs.

With Winnipeg trying to close out the series at home, Morrissey’s suspension will help the Wild keep their playoff run alive.

Game 5 will be played at 7:30 PM ET Friday.
